Abandon Your Comfort Zone and Become Unstoppable

Do You Feel Stuck in Your Faith Journey?

Have you ever felt stagnant in your walk with Christ? Maybe you know exactly what God has called you to do, but fear and the comfort of routine keep holding you back. I’ve been there, too.

For a long time, I allowed my addiction to comfort to keep me from stepping into all that God had for me. It was easier to stick with what felt safe than to embrace the unknown. But as I reflected on this struggle, I knew I couldn’t stay there. So, for 2025, I’m committed to abandoning my comfort zone—and I want to invite you to do the same.

Here are three practical steps I’m taking to step out in faith and grow in my walk with Christ:

1. Release Your Schedule to God

How often do we create mile-long to-do lists without asking God what He actually wants us to accomplish? We cram our days full, thinking we’re being productive, but forget to seek His direction.

Proverbs 31:15 paints a beautiful picture of diligence:
“She gets up while it is still night; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls.”

The Proverbs 31 woman is known for her wisdom and work ethic, but her strength comes from her alignment with God’s plan. This year, I’ve started surrendering my schedule to Him—and it’s already transforming my days.

Here’s what I’m doing:

  • Starting my mornings with God: Spending quiet time in His Word and asking for His guidance.

  • Letting go of the need to control: Trusting Him to show me what’s truly important.

  • Prioritizing eternal impact: Asking myself if what I’m doing is glorifying God or just filling my time.

When we release our schedules to God, we invite Him to work through us in ways we could never achieve on our own.

2. Follow Through Even When It’s Hard

Let’s be real—obedience to God isn’t always easy. Challenges arise, and sometimes it feels tempting to quit and retreat into what’s familiar. But when we persevere, we honor God and position ourselves for growth.

Philippians 4:19 reminds us:
“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.”

This verse is a powerful reminder that God is our ultimate provider—not our circumstances or comfort zones. There were moments last year when I thought I’d give up on my entrepreneurial journey. I even sent out job applications, hoping a steady paycheck would make me feel more secure.

But you know what? God hadn’t told me to take that path. I was operating out of fear, not faith. This year, I’m committed to staying the course and trusting Him, even when things feel uncertain or difficult.

3. Intentionally Put Yourself in Uncomfortable Situations

Growth doesn’t happen in the comfort zone. Whether it’s having tough conversations, stepping out in leadership, or sharing your testimony, discomfort is often a sign that you’re growing.

2 Timothy 1:7 encourages us:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

This verse is my anchor as I step into new challenges. One practical step my husband and I are taking this year is having one hard conversation each week to grow in our marriage. Similarly, I’m pushing myself to be more bold in promoting my business and sharing my faith.

Here’s what I’ve learned: every uncomfortable situation is an opportunity for God to show His power through you.

Are You Ready to Take the Leap?

Abandoning your comfort zone isn’t easy, but it’s necessary for growth. When you release your schedule to God, persevere through challenges, and intentionally embrace discomfort, you’ll discover a deeper faith and greater purpose than you ever imagined.

So, sis, are you ready to step out in faith in 2025? I’m cheering you on every step of the way.

Let’s do this together!

With love and encouragement,
Kristin
